I am very interested in the funishing, fabrics,facility, and architecture of yhe hotel, so this was a great experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful , so I was satisfied. But, the air conditioning was loud.

We took the guided tour - guided very well by Terry - and it was a 60 mins very pleasant and informative tour! We live in Penang, and finally decided to go. Really recommended!! Very pleasant coffee shop to finish off the tour, and as this was a Saturday, we could have stayed and listened to live music starting at 6 pm.

Always such a privilege for us to be able to stay in a mansion so full if history! We always feel as if we are reenacting the lives of a wealthy Chinese family 100 years ago, with all the luxuries of their time. Its an authentic architectural gem because the place is restored the way it would have been back then. Nothing too shiny and new, everything just about right. The morning breakfast and evening drinks in the courtyard are magical and made us feel at peace. Staff our lovely and go out of their way to make your stay even better . The little touches like the nonya snacks at turndown, and the music in the courtyard in the evening are great. The live music in the cafe, Mangga, a great addition! We will be back. We loved staying at The Blue Mansions. After spending a few days walking the streets of George Town, it was a pleasure to come back each day. The building and interior are stunning, and the service provided by the staff is first-class. It was a real treat to have our own Jacuzzi bath and to step outside with access to the pool. Had this hotel been anywhere else in the world, i am sure we would be paying triple the price, which is well outside of our range. We stayed in the 50's room with our 13-year-old; we had ample space, plenty of wardrobe space, and loved the private garden access at the back. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and looking after us.

Blue mansion was located in middle of the city. When we arrived at the hotel the staffs took our luggage meanwhile the receptionist was having a bit problem but it was sorted out. Our room which was Yantai had a sitting room in front which had a small table a kids bed and a hanging stand. Then there was the bedroom which was big with a huge bed a tv a very old trunk (which needs to be changed because it's paint and skin was coming of). The bathroom was okay but the flush was not working properly at all the shower water was very hot. We reported to the front desk about the flush but they did nothing. The hotel had a small pool a garden in the back. There were old rickshaw models in front. There was also a souvenir shop. There only restaurant Indigo had very limited choices in buffet and there alacarte menu was good. They also gave us a good tasting cake. (We couldn't see there museum). When came back to the room we found a huge problem there aircodioning was not working properly and there was loud music coming from outside. Anyways we also had a extra bed in our package. But when we asked for the extra bed they said that the people who were supposed to keep the bed had gone home. There were not enough water bottles in our room so we asked for a extra bottle but they said we don't have enough bottles but they can give a big plastic bottle. This hotel is fairly good.
